"We met Mike Young, his guitar not far behind" at a Poipu Beach resort in 2004. We were fortunate enough to get one of his CD's and, as they say, the rest is history. Mike has a great voice, some of those low tones can give you "goose bumps". We have especially enjoyed his Kauai songs, kind of makes you fall in love with Kauai even more than you already have. His song-writing style is most often very moving. One of the things we've really appreciated about his songs, is that you feel certain "the story" and the "feelings" are, many times, what he has experienced in his own life. We feel that his songs express a lot of truth and, because of that, we felt we knew him through his music. When we decided to renew our wedding vows on our 18th anniversary, there was no question that we would want Mike to sing for us. No one else would do. Of course, you expect to have "The Hawaiian Wedding Song" as part of your Hawaiian wedding ceremony, which we did, and it was beautiful. But Mike's original song, "Everlasting Love" is extra special.
